The annual "Smoke on the Water" KCBS Backyard BBQ Competition will host BBQ competition teams from across the nation to compete in three categories: Chicken, Pork Ribs, and Mystery Meat (Connech Sausage). These teams will compete for prize money totaling $5000.

The annual Smoke on the Water BBQ Competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) and will benefit the Jr. Fire Academy of Blount County. KCBS sanctions and judges BBQ competitions across the U.S. and promotes barbeque as America's cuisine. It is the largest society of barbeque enthusiasts in the world, with over 19,000 members. KCBS sanctions nearly 450 events across the globe each year.
